Front of House & Decontamination Technician

We have an exciting opportunity arisen in our beautiful and friendly Killin Dental Practice. This position
would be a great mix of Front of House and Decontamination duties within our busy Dental Practice. We are
looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills to provide the best service, putting the
patients at the heart of the business.

The Job Role:
FOH
- Meet and greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensuring the smooth running of the Front of House
- Coordinating, booking and re scheduling appointments
- Liaise with Dental Nurses and Dentist regarding Lab work issues, treatment plans and finance
applications
- Answering the telephone
- Checking and replying to emails from patients
- Update contact notes with patient communication
- Ensuring all practice-to-practice communication is done via email
- Daily banking & cashing up
- Working with Front of House team and Dental Nurses to maintain Front of House protocols
- Completion of tasks given from Senior Front of House, Practice Manager and Patient Care Hub
Decontamination Technician
- Responsible for ensuring all dental instruments are cleaned, disinfected, sterilised and stored
appropriately.
- Carrying out visual checks and required periodic testing of equipment and recording in relevant
logbooks.
- Care and maintenance of decontamination equipment, materials and specialised instruments on an ongoing
basis, reporting any faulty equipment to the appropriate personnel.
This position will require you to receive Hepatitis B Immunisation.

- Works well on their own and has experience of working as part of a team
- Has a positive and friendly attitude
- Have good literacy and IT skills. Working comfortably in Microsoft office, including word, excel &
Outlook.
- Be professional, enthusiastic about the practice values
- Able to perform under pressure
Previous healthcare experience is not required, however, a customer facing role would be advantageous.
