Patient Safety and COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Membership Plan Patients,

Update 7th April 2020

You, like all of our patients, are part of our family here at Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic.

Just like yourselves, keeping our family (patients and staff alike) safe and healthy during these challenging and unprecedented times is our primary concern.

In keeping with current advice from the government, along with our industry governing bodies, all routine appointments have been suspended from 23rd March 2020.

If you have an appointment affected by this, you will receive notification of the postponement and someone will contact you as soon as possible once the restrictions are lifted and routine dental care appointments are able to resume.

In the meantime we are still here, as permitted within current guidelines, to advise on any urgent dental problems.

Our dentists, health permitting, will be available for telephone consultations for patients who have urgent pain or swelling during this period of closure.

Please call us on 01350 729198 and our Dentists will arrange a call back at a mutually convenient time. Outside of normal opening hours, please follow the instructions on the recorded message.

Details of government aid for small business are still emerging but we are unfortunately ineligible to benefit from several of the measures announced thus far.

Your continuing support of our team and practice through your dental plan payments will enable us to continue for as long as possible in these challenging economic times ahead.

We are committed to supporting our fantastic team members throughout this challenging period, along with maintaining our premises to ensure that we will still be here to provide the excellent level of customer service and clinical care that you have come to expect from us here at Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic.

During this restrictive period, we would like to remind you of some of the additional benefits provided by the Global Dental Accident & Emergency Scheme as part of your membership plan.

These include:

  • FREE virtual consultations with our Dentists during this period of closure.
  • FREE telephone consultations with our Dentists during this period of closure.
  • Worldwide dental emergency assistance cover – If you are currently stranded away from home and family as a result of the current restrictions, this scheme covers emergency temporary treatment by any dentist worldwide.
  • Dental accident cover – Treatment costs covered (within policy limits) for treatment carried out by your dentist (post-lockdown) for dental trauma/injury resulting from external trauma.
  • Hospitalisation – Benefits may be available if admitted to hospital as an in-patient following emergency treatment or dental injury/trauma.
  • Mouth Cancer - £2500 lump sum benefit

When it is safe for us to resume operating normally again, we will be striving to ensure that no one has to wait longer than necessary to rearrange their dental health reviews (check-ups) and hygienist sessions, along with any treatment appointments postponed due to this current crisis.

To help cope with the anticipated increase in demand for appointments post-lockdown, we will be looking to extend our opening hours to increase capacity and minimise waiting times.

As one of our loyal membership plan patients, in addition to any normal discount on treatment fees, you will be eligible for the following additional benefits:

  • Priority rebooking of appointments
  •     Including early morning 8am and evening appointments (after 4pm)
  •     Including any additional temporary clinics

  • FREE Oral hygiene goody bag at your next hygienist appointment

  • Half Price Tooth whitening offer

  • Free Stain removal using our airflow polishing system
  •     Included as part of your next hygiene session

These special offers will be restricted to all membership plan patients registered prior to 23rd March 2020 and be redeemable for a period of 6 months once normal service resumes.

Please note that you do not need to have had an appointment postponed by the lockdown in order to take advantage of these benefits.

Remember to keep your oral health in mind

The health of your mouth can have a big effect on your overall health and wellbeing. We have all been encouraged to try and stay fit and well to minimise any additional pressure on our front-line healthcare facilities.

During this period of social isolation, take some time to refresh your oral health habits and help make sure that your teeth and gums stay healthy. Remember:

  • Brush with a fluoride toothpaste twice daily, morning and evening. Spit out the excess and do not rinse with water afterwards.
  • Use interdental aids (Tepe brushes and floss) daily to clean between your teeth and any dental restorations.
  • Limit the consumption of sugary food and snacks
  • Limit the consumption of sugary and acidic drinks

We cannot stress how important you are to us, not just as a business but personally. Please do everything you can to keep yourselves and those around you safe and well at this time of unprecedented uncertainty. Avoid taking any unnecessary risks and follow all current government advice regarding self-isolation and social distancing.

Lockdown will not last forever, we look forward to seeing you again and the chance to talk under better circumstances.
