OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Multisite (Home based) with regular travel across all practice locations
Full-time
We are looking for a commercially focused, results driven and people centred Operations Director to join
Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced multi site
leader who is passionate about driving operational performance, leading high performing teams and supporting
the continued growth of a premium patient focused dental group. The successful candidate will play a key
role in improving profitability, operational consistency and patient experience across all practice
locations, while building scalable systems and strong leadership capability throughout the business.
Purpose of the role
To lead the operational and commercial performance of Infinityblu’s group of practices
and help scale the business to its next stage of growth.
This is a senior multi site leadership role for someone who starts with the numbers and then turns those
numbers into actions. The operations director will own the rhythm of performance across the group, with a
sharp focus on operational revenue, gross margin, gross profit, manager accountability, patient experience
and operational consistency.
The role is not primarily a compliance or protocol-writing post. Those areas will be supported by the
Compliance Coordinator and Regional Operations Managers. The Operations Director will lead through them,
ensure alignment, and keep the business focused on performance, people and growth.
Key responsibilities
Commercial and Operational Performance:
Lead weekly and monthly review of operational revenue, gross margin and gross profit
across the group
- Analyse performance by practice, clinician, service line and manager, and turn findings into clear
actions
- Drive improvements in capacity, diary utilisation, cancellation control, recall effectiveness, treatment
conversion and labour efficiency
- Work with finance to manage budgets, overheads, cost discipline and site level profitability
- Project management
- Build a culture where numbers are understood, discussed and acted upon quickly
- Ensure underperformance is challenged early and recovery plans are put in place
Multi-Site Leadership:
Lead and develop the regional operations managers and practice managers
- Create clear accountability, consistent standards and strong communication across all sites
- Build a management structure that reduces owner dependence and avoids day to day firefighting
- Ensure each site has clear goals, follows through on agreed actions and reports accurately
- Support managers to become stronger leaders rather than problem escalators
Operational Systems and Consistency:
Ensure group systems, protocols and standards are embedded consistently across all
practices
- Oversee implementation through the regional operations coordinators rather than absorbing all
operational tasks personally
- Work closely with the compliance coordinator so that compliance, governance and operational discipline
support growth rather than slow it down
- Improve practice rhythms including daily huddles, weekly KPI review, monthly management review and
quarterly performance conversation.
- Drive operational excellence without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
Patient Experience and Culture:
Protect and improve the patient journey across every practice, from first contact to
treatment completion and retention
- Be a visible leader for Infinityblu’s culture, values and service standards
- Ensure managers and teams understand that performance and patient experience must work together
- Support a culture of accountability, openness, innovation and continuous improvement
People Leadership:
- Recruit, develop and retain high performing managers and right fit team members
- Coach managers in leadership, communication, problem solving and performance management
- Handle escalated patient or people issues calmly, fairly and promptly
- Build succession strength across the group
Growth and Scale:
Support the operational integration of acquisitions, new sites and service expansion
- Help prepare the business operationally for growth from the current platform to around 20 sites
- Build scalable systems and management capacity that can grow with the group
- Ensure standards are protected as the business expands
Reporting and Governance:
- Report regularly to senior leadership on results, risks, trends, priorities and actions
- Present clear operational dashboards and commentary, not just raw data
- Surface concerns early and bring solutions, not just problems
- Ensure agreed actions are tracked through to completion
Key Measures Of Success:
Revenue growth across the group
- Improvement in gross margin and gross profit
- Better consistency of performance across sites
- Stronger practice managers and regional leaders
- Improved diary utilisation and operational control
- Better treatment conversion and patient retention
- Reduced owner involvement in day to day operational firefighting
- Successful integration of growth and acquisitions
Essential Experience:
Proven senior multi site leadership experience in a service led business
- Dental experience
- Strong evidence of having managed something of similar scale, ideally around 10 to 15 sites and
preferably closer to 15 to 20, ideally related to dentistry
- Experience of leading through managers, not just directly managing a single site
- Strong commercial understanding of revenue, gross margin, gross profit, budgets and KPIs
- Evidence of improving performance across multiple locations
- Experience of creating structure, accountability and management rhythm in a growing business
- Confidence in analysing data and making sound decisions from it
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly across sites
- Project management skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in another regulated, patient facing, healthcare or premium service environment
- Experience of acquisitions, integration or rapid group growth
- Familiarity with practice management software and operational reporting systems
- Experience working alongside finance, HR, marketing and clinical leaders
Personal Qualities:
- Commercially minded but operationally hands on
- Calm, credible and decisive
- Strong leader of leaders
- Evidence based and results focused
- Organised and disciplined
- Open, honest and accountable
- Comfortable with challenge and change
- Supportive, visible and values led
- Able to balance standards with pace

- Company laptop and mobile phone
- Mileage/travel expenses
Following a successful completion of a probationary period:
- Iblu Staff & Family dental discount benefits
- Access to BHN Home, Tech and Cycle to Work Scheme and other benefits
- Additional Enhanced Company Sick pay
